On the morning of December 19, the 5G conference with the theme of “Innovation Oriented, Opening Up and Upgrading, Creating a New Industrial Ecology with  the New Driving Force of 5G Technology” was held in the conference room of the comprehensive building of the Management Committee of Pingxiang Economic Development Zone, Jiangxi Province. Strongly supported by Pingxiang Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government, and guided by the Party Working Committee and the Management Committee of Pingxiang Economic Development Zone, the conference completed successfully.

 

About 400 people, including top experts in the field of communications, leaders at all levels and directors of brand enterprises, gathered together to discuss the development and future of 5G technology, and how to seize the opportunity in the development process of 5G industry to inject new impetus into the transformation and upgrading of the electronic information industry and high-quality development. Ye Hualin, Vice Mayor of Pingxiang municipal government, introduced that both Pingxiang Municipal Party Committee and government attach great importance to the development of the electronic information industry and regard it as a pillar industry. In particular, Pingxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, a national development zone and the main district for city economic and industrial development, gives priority to the development of the electronic information industry as the primary industry, and has achieved remarkable results in attracting investment and serving enterprises. It gathered a large number of electronic information enterprises and upstream and downstream enterprises such as Netis, Firstar Panel and Begrand, showing a strong development momentum. According to incomplete statistics, the output value of the electronic information industry of the city will reach RMB20 billion this year, which it is expected to double in two years with the advent of the 5G era.

 

Ye Hualin said that 5G has become the leading field and competitive highland of digital strategy. We should learn new knowledge and technologies, further emancipate our minds, broaden our horizons, focus on the development cycle of new technologies and be bold in innovation to catch up with the new trend of 5G development, take “5G + artificial intelligence” as the new driving force of digital economic development, and realize 5G applications and industrial development in Pingxiang.

At present, the preparatory research of 5G CPE, WiFi 6 and other technical directions has been completed, and product development has started.
